Be Kind Rewind

Have to pick up Be Kind Rewind today. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was an absolutely spectacular film and hopefully the same can be said about Michel Gondry's new film. Really excited at the moment. I'm pressing the F5 button every two seconds on the Playstation Blog checking to see if the video for the 2.40 update has arrived. From what I've heard it's going to be around the 8am mark...

Hmm. It's one thing to get excited about an update...but a video of an update...I think I just crossed the line of geek. Still, 2.40 FTW!

More 2.40 news...

There has been a constant onslaught of PS3's new firmware news floating around the internet the past few days. I'm pretty excited about it but I'm pretty certain were not going to see it till around the time of E3.

Anywho! I was bored...again, so went out of my way to wind up a few forum users today. I made a picture of PS3's Gamercards and the look for the XMB. Thats it! ^^^^ Up there! ^^^^^

Flirting is my saviour!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a bit worried about my pre-order for the MGS4 watch. It was getting on my nerves not knowing wether or not I had managed to get it so I did what any of us would do. I phoned Gamestation up and got through to a very nice/sexy sounding girl.

After a few minutes of pure charm she told me that I definitely had one I just had to wait for it to be released. It's made my day! Heck, it's made my week!!!

If your reading this Gamestation girl... I LOVE YOU!

Anyway, I'm off to pick up my MGS4 head set and hopefully MGS2: Substance....

.......hopefully.

3 hours and 7 minutes! What a bloody quick run!

Just completed it a third time. In what time though??? (The clue is in the title btw)

Anyway. I was browsing the magical (but sometimes quite biased) Kotaku and they ran a story about taps that looked....oh no, sorry.*
I found a story about a limited edition MGS4 watch. I have managed to get the pre-order in which I'm over the moon about! There's only 500 of them being made and there all exclusive to the UK! I made sur eto pre-order it as soon as I could. I reeeaaaaaaalllllllllllyyyyyyyyy want it. BADLY!

Managed to get Twin Snakes, finally! Just need to get around to playing it now! :D

*They ran a story about a tap that had an X and an O (y'know, vaguely similar to the Playstation symbols) and I got banned because I said it wasn't game related - AT ALL! It's a good job I don't hold a grudge...fucking Kotaku (Grrrr!)

Holy-flibble-gobble-ghasted!

MGS4 is intense! I'm on my third run through it now and am enjoying it immensely! Picked up MGS2, MGS3 and Subsistance today. My limted editiong MGS4 is arriving tomorrow. Just need to find Twin Snakes for Gamecube, Substance for PS2 and MGS and VR Missions for PSone. Then, and only then, will I be happy!

(I even got around to making my sig for the official playstation forums. It's okay for a five minute job. Clever little joke in there as well. You'll understand once you complete the game btw.)

I completed MGS4 last night and am left in a state of awe.

In my seventeen years of gaming I have never, not once, felt any emotion (except for shouting "Arghhhhh") from any video game until last night. Knowing this was my last adventure with Snake, a character I've been brought up with since I started gaming, was a hard thing to come to grips with. He's old, tired and close to death but he keeps keep on fighting. You keep on pushing him that little bit more. You bond with Snake to such a degree you almost become him.

I sat there, watching the game play out it's final swan song and felt...sad. It might seem a bit of an over-reaction but I was so moved by it.. I really can't describe Metal Gear. It's essentially one of the greatest games of our time.

Forget GTAIV and it's overhyped reviews, MGS4 is the quint essential for ANYBODY who plays games. Do yourself a favour and rent/buy it now. You won't have another experince like it ever again.

Woohoooooooooo! It's official. Metal Gear Solid 4 is being released tomorrow. Even better though is the fact I already have it! Havn't been home to try it out due to the daily grind of a nine-to-five but come 6pm, once I finally get home, it's going to be all out stealth for me. Might pick up a bandana on the way home to make it all the more immersive.

Sid Meirs is arriving tomorrow as well. Yup, a day early! Looks like my weekend is going to be brilliant. The missus picked up Haze for me today as well. Hmmm...I wonder how long I could go without sleep for??? I'll have to look into that.

Trying to quit smoking at the moment. Think I set my goal a little bit too high. I'm on roughly 30 a day but yesterday managed to cut down to 10. I thought that was pretty good. Should mean in a few weeks I'll be completely nicotine free.

Got my interview for college tomorrow. Had to be in work hours didn't it! I have the worst luck.

*finishes work early and plays MGS4*

Okay, my luck isn't that bad I suppose.
